Strength Through Unification!
August 20, 2007: The practitioners at Artemis are eager to share our passions, skills, knowledge and experience with our community. We offer our walls as a gallery space for local artists, and host seasonal art openings. We host classes, workshops, and lectures by guest speakers, providing a communal space to connect patients with similar circumstances, educate the public about holistic healthcare, and share resources with our colleagues.
Health Sampler Day at Artemis
On Saturday, August 18, a new tradition was born: quarterly Health
Sampler Day at Artemis. Created to encourage those curious about
acupuncture, chiropractic and massage to come explore the soothing
ambiance of our clinic and meet the practitioners who provide
expertise, care and support, Sampler Day has been well received!
Thanks to all who participated in this bonding experience. It felt great to everyone involved--both patients and practitioners. Guests received 20 minutes each of chiropractic or craniosacral work, acupuncture, and massage--for $45 total.
Stay tuned for Patient Appreciation Day--and the much anticipated 4 handed hot stone massage!
New Skin Care Products Made with Love
Those crafty herbalists at Artemis have been cooking up healing
balms for their beloved clients! We love to spend time together,
even when we are not at work--and what fun it was to harvest our
local organic medicinals, share our favorite flower, gem, and
essential oil blends and pour out the precious substances into
little containers for our friends.
Next time you're in the waiting room, open a tester, take a sniff, rub some in...and enjoy the fruit of our labor!

Rose of Sharon Shoshanah Benjamin, an old friend of Tatyanna's from Santa Cruz, has created a sublime cocoa butter blend named Rose of Sharon body creme, which must only be smelled to achieve nirvana. Though we would prefer giant vats to bathe in, for now we have to settle for stocking mere 3.5oz jars...Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Artemis Gallery: Images for Life
Our current art exhibit is Images for
Life, photos by Pascale Wowak. The opening was the evening of
August 17th, and photos will be on display until October 29. Come
check them out!
Pascale does beautiful, candid, natural-lighting shots of pregnant parents, newborns, and families.
Postpartum Health Care Classes
We are honored to host the series of
classes on Postpartum Health Care. Expert teachers include
midwives, lactation consultants, psychotherapists, yoga and
pilates instructors, physical therapists, postpartum doulas and
more. All in attendance have something to share, and we have all
learned gems from one another!
Our classes focus on 'mothering the mother'--helping mom to best look after herself and new baby, sharing where to seek resources and support, and providing a common ground for holistic minded practitioners and parents.
If you know a new or expectant mother, please pass on our contact info so she can learn more about what is offered. It could sharpen that postpartum learning curve, and save her some time, energy and trevail in that crucial new phase of family life!
